Business Challenge
The Alliance is a collaboration of organisations who are on a mission to end homelessness in Glasgow by 2030. We engaged as they were forming the organisation, and were tasked with building a technology infrastructure which allowed users to manage data, work, and collaborate securely from various locations and with other work responsibilities to separate organisations.
Our Solution
Cloud Cover implemented Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Microsoft’s Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution to allow staff to securely work while operating a BYOD (Bring your own device) policy. We also led the full implementation of Microsoft 365 including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange, etc., to handle communication, data management, and collaboration for the alliance. Cloud Cover worked with the Alliance to leverage the enterprise-grade security functionality available with their E3 License including MDM with Intune, MFA (Multi Factor Authentication), conditional access policy, and more.
Results
-
Secure cloud-based workspace with AVD
-
Ability to collaborate from anywhere with M365
-
Secure data management with SharePoint

The entire process has been excellent. The Cloud Cover IT team have been responsive, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout planning, implementation, and ongoing delivery.
