FAQs | Microsoft Power Apps Templates

Which Power Apps Templates does Flyte offer?

We offer seven ready-built apps: Leave Request, Asset Management, Clock In, Personal Development, Expenses Tracking, Overtime Tracking and Guest Sign In. Each one is built on Microsoft Power Platform and replaces a manual or paper-based process.

Can the templates be customised?

Yes. Every template is customisable, so we can adapt it to your processes, branding and approval steps instead of asking you to change how you work. If your requirements go beyond what a template covers, our bespoke Power Apps development follows a Discovery, Design and Build approach.

Should I choose a template or a bespoke app?

A template suits a common, well-defined process such as leave, expenses or visitor sign-in, where you’d rather start from something proven and adjust it. Bespoke development makes more sense when your process is unusual, spans several systems or needs its own data model. Our guide to Power Apps templates vs custom development covers the trade-offs in more detail.

Do the templates work with Microsoft 365 and Teams?

Yes. The templates integrate with your existing Microsoft 365 setup, so you need a Microsoft 365 environment to use them. The Leave Request app, for example, can be accessed through your company intranet and Microsoft Teams. The exact licences required depend on the template and how it’s configured, and we’ll confirm this before you commit.

Where is our data stored?

Within your own Microsoft 365 environment. Asset Management is built on SharePoint, and Clock In records hours within Microsoft 365 so payroll can access them. If your needs grow beyond that, Microsoft Dataverse offers stronger security, business rules and reporting, and we can help you plan the move.

Can the templates connect to payroll or other systems?

Because they’re built on the Power Platform, they can be extended with Power Automate to pass data to other systems. Clock In already stores clock data for payroll to access. Tell us which systems you use and we’ll advise on what’s practical.

How secure are the templates, and who supports them?

The templates run in your own Microsoft 365 environment, so your existing sign-in and permissions apply. Flyte holds ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials accreditation and is available through the G-Cloud 15 framework. After launch, our Microsoft 365 and Power Platform support team can look after your apps.
