Business Challenge
During the COVID-19 pandemic, supply teachers, Early Years Practitioners, and Classroom Assistants played a vital role in enabling schools to continue delivering education to children and young people under exceptionally challenging circumstances.
Following the withdrawal of the supply booking system previously provided through the SEEMiS management information system, North Ayrshire Education recognised the need for a modern replacement. The new solution needed to be easily accessible for users, deliver robust management information, and significantly reduce administrative overhead.

Working in partnership with Education Services at North Ayrshire Council, Flyte developed a cloud-based supply booking system accessible from any web-enabled device. Schools can quickly create and publish supply requirements as soon as a need is identified, while supply staff can easily update their availability, review opportunities, and accept bookings in just a few clicks.
With over 1,000 staff using the system across multiple portals, ensuring a smooth transition and positive onboarding experience was critical to driving adoption and minimising resistance. This was achieved through a comprehensive enablement package, including administrator upskilling, continuous system development to support evolving processes, and the provision of clear user guides and video-based training.
