Whyte & Mackay is a well-known Scotch whisky producer, founded in 1844 by James Whyte and Charles Mackay in Glasgow, Scotland. They are recognised for producing a range of high-quality blended and single malt whiskies. Some of their most popular brands include Whyte & Mackay (the flagship blended whisky), The Macallan, and Dalmore.
Business Challenge
Whyte and Mackay were looking to redevelop an existing PowerBi implementation which had become non-functional due to legacy data sources becoming disconnected and excessive views containing no live data. The aim of the project was to rebuild the PowerBi dashboards to return full functionality and develop additional metrics to align with their wider business processes and function effectively.

Flyte worked through a process of scoping and rebuilding of three dashboard alongside key stakeholders at Whyte & Mackay. The rebuilding process ensured that the functionality was returned to each dashboard and that all data and visuals were presented to deliver the most value to all users and help inform business decisions and performance.
The Result
Flyte have continued to deliver ongoing solution support for these PowerBi dashboards in addition to the wider Power Platform solutions across Whyte & Mackay.
Following completion of the rebuild, a series of further projects were delivered to expand the use of PowerBi across other functions.
